Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before using the RecipeAI application ("the App"). By downloading, accessing or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the App.
1. Introduction
RecipeAI ("the App") is developed and operated by Mangold, Inc. ("Company", "we", "us", "our"). These Terms govern your use of the App, including all features such as AI generated recipes, meal plans, recipe scanning, ingredient based suggestions and user content storage.
By using the App, you confirm that you are at least 13 years old or the minimum age required in your region and that all information you provide is accurate.
2. Description of Service
RecipeAI is a cooking and recipe management app that allows you to:
- Save and import recipes from external platforms and websites
- Scan recipes from images, screenshots or text
- Generate AI based recipe suggestions and variations
- Create and manage meal plans and shopping lists
- Edit, store and organize personal cooking related content
- Convert recipes to dietary alternatives such as vegan or low calorie versions
- View estimated nutritional information when available
The App may use third party technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), optical character recognition (OCR) and machine learning tools to process content you submit.
3. User Responsibilities
When using the App, you agree to:
- Use the App only for lawful and personal purposes
- Not upload, share or import content that is illegal, harmful, offensive or infringing the rights of others
- Not misuse the App for spam, fraud, automated scraping or any abusive behavior
- Not attempt to reverse engineer, modify or interfere with the App or its infrastructure
- Verify ingredients, allergens, cooking times and nutrition before preparing or eating any food
You are solely responsible for your cooking decisions, food safety and any consequences that arise from using recipes or suggestions from the App.
4. Account and Access
Some features of the App may require you to create an account. When you create an account, you agree to:
- Provide accurate, current and complete information
- Keep your login credentials confidential and secure
- Notify us promptly of any unauthorized access or suspected security issue
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the App or your account if we believe you have violated these Terms or engaged in harmful behavior.
5. User Content
The App may allow you to upload, import or create content, including:
- Recipes and text
- Ingredient lists and notes
- Photos and screenshots
- Meal plans and shopping lists
You retain ownership of the content you create or upload. By submitting content to the App, you grant the Company a non exclusive, worldwide, royalty free license to store, process, display and use your content solely for the purpose of operating, improving and providing the App and its features.
You confirm that you have the necessary rights to submit any content and that such content does not violate the rights of others. We may remove or restrict access to any content that we believe violates these Terms or applicable law.
6. AI Generated Content
The App uses AI technologies to generate:
- Recipes and cooking suggestions
- Ingredient substitutions and variations
- Dietary conversions such as vegan, low calorie or low fat versions
- Meal plans and shopping lists
- Nutrition estimates
AI generated content may sometimes be inaccurate, incomplete or not suitable for your specific health, dietary or medical needs. The App does not provide medical, nutritional or professional advice.
You agree that AI outputs are for informational and convenience purposes only and that you are responsible for checking and validating all ingredients, allergens, cooking methods and nutritional information before use.
7. Recipe Importing and Third Party Content
The App allows you to import recipes and content from third party websites, apps and platforms. When you do this, you are responsible for ensuring that:
- You have the right to access and use the content
- You respect any applicable copyright or usage restrictions
- You understand that third party content is not created or controlled by the Company
The Company does not claim ownership of third party recipes or content. We are not responsible for the accuracy, completeness or legality of any content imported from external sources.
8. Privacy and Data Collection
Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use and protect your personal data. By using the App, you agree to the Privacy Policy in addition to these Terms.

9. Prohibited Uses
You agree not to use the App to:
- Generate or share content that is illegal, hateful, abusive, threatening or otherwise harmful
- Infringe any intellectual property rights, privacy rights or other rights of third parties
- Upload viruses, malware or other malicious code
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the App, its servers or related systems
- Use automated tools to scrape, index or extract data from the App
10. Intellectual Property
All rights, title and interest in and to the App, including its design, code, text, graphics, logos and trademarks, are owned by Mangold, Inc. or its licensors. Except for the limited right to use the App as described in these Terms, no rights are granted to you.
You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease or create derivative works based on the App or any part of it without our prior written consent.
11. Subscriptions and Payments
RecipeAI may offer paid subscriptions and free trial periods for premium features. All purchases, trials and renewals are processed by Google Play using your Google account.
By starting a trial or subscription, you agree that:
- Billing and payment are handled by Google Play, under its terms and policies
- Charges may start automatically after the free trial period unless you cancel in time
- You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Google Play account settings
The Company does not process or store your payment card details. Any refunds are handled according to Google Play's refund policies.
12. Disclaimers
The App is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without any warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, including:
- Warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non infringement
- Warranties that the App will be error free, secure or available at all times
- Warranties regarding the accuracy, reliability or completeness of any content or AI output
You use the App at your own risk. You are responsible for checking recipes, ingredients and cooking methods before use.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Mangold, Inc. and its directors, employees and partners will not be liable for:
- Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages
- Any loss of data, profits, business or goodwill
- Any harm arising from food preparation, allergies, health reactions or misuse of recipes
- Any errors, inaccuracies or omissions in AI generated or imported content
In any case where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability will be limited to the amount you paid for using the App in the last 12 months, if any.
14. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the App, with or without notice, if we believe that:
- You have violated these Terms
- You have engaged in fraudulent, abusive or harmful behavior
- We are required to do so by law
You may stop using the App at any time and uninstall it from your device. Termination does not relieve you of any obligations or liabilities incurred prior to termination.
15. Changes to These Terms
We may update or modify these Terms from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the Effective Date at the top of this page and may provide additional notice inside the App.
Your continued use of the App after changes have been posted means that you accept the updated Terms.
16. Governing Law
These Terms and your use of the App are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or the App will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Delaware, except where mandatory consumer protection law provides otherwise.
